bracenfix™
Custom nail bracing for ingrown toenails
Rebound Podiatry now offers bracenfix™! It acts as braces for your teeth would. The brace supports the nail as it grows, acting as a guide supporting the nail and preventing it from curling. As soon as it’s applied, bracenfix™ causes the nail to contract. It may offer quick pain relief which continues to improve as the nail grows.
- Cost: Note that bracenfix™ treatments incur an additional cost on top of the standard consult fee, charged per nail treated. Nail bracing fees are eligible for rebates with private health insurance policies in Australia.
- Treatment protocol: The length of treatment varies. Most cases of ingrown or involuted nails can be corrected with 1-2 treatments (spaced out several months apart), but trickier cases may require additional applications. Your podiatrist will advise you of this depending on how your nail responds to treatment.
